The Power of Inner Peace

Imagine if you were the sun (minus the heat of course!). Your rays touch the world around you and the people within it.

Your rays have the power to give warmth, light, and life – and they also have the power to burn and cause pain.

The level of inner peace you feel, and your ability to be mindful of what is radiating off of you, is the determining factor of which one happens.

Each area of your life plays an important role in how you feel – and how you feel also plays a role in how that area of your life goes. Each of these areas also has an effect on the other areas – if you aren’t mindful.

Imagine waking up each day feeling centered, grounded, and strong, no matter what life throws your way.

Balance and inner peace are within your reach, and I’m here to help you grab them.

meet Ann Syson

Hi there! I’m so happy you’re here! My quick bio is more of a manifesto of sorts…

I believe the more women who are living authentic lives filled with inner peace there are, the more chance we have at experiencing a peaceful world.

Inner Peace creates ripples ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This is a movement I am striving for.

I’m a registered yoga teacher and life coach, and I changed my entire life by applying the teachings of yoga and mindfulness.

Once a blame-game aficionado, I’m now the architect of my own joyous life – and I want the same for you!

Tranquil Warrior Explained:

The name Tranquil Warrior was born out of the likeness between the chaos of daily life and a battlefield. Moving through each day mindlessly, putting out fires as you go only works for so long.

Learning and implementing mindfulness, Yoga, and mindset techniques has the power to create a feeling of deep peace alongside the chaos.

I wish I could tell you that the fires stop – but life doesn’t work that way.

What does work is changing on the inside. You’re still a warrior, but it feels more peaceful.

Life tends to work better. People around you can feel it, and they like to be near your gentle sun-like rays of warmth.

The process explained:

What Makes a Tranquil Warrior?

We begin by going deep into who you are and what you want. This is the foundational work. You may think you know… but do you? Really?

Many people are raised and conditioned by well-meaning caregivers, but that’s just it – they’re conditioned. They adopt the beliefs and values of those who raised them, and many aren’t taught to question or explore further than that.

This process in Yoga is called Swadhyaya, or self-study. It’s the heart of what coaching is all about.

Then we move to thought work – your thoughts create emotions, which dictate your actions, which lead to the results that show up in your life.

This is about empowering you to change your life through the thoughts you think. It’s not magic, but it sure does feel like it!

We’ll introduce the Yogic concepts of Tapas, Ahimsa, and living with intention (Sankalpa) here.

Nervous system regulation is where meditation, Asana (Hatha Yoga poses), Pranayama (breathwork), Yoga Nidra, and Yin Yoga come in. We will cover Santosha (contentment), and present moment awareness.

We will also work on Emotional Regulation – Feeling your feelings and allowing them to move through you is so important!

Learning to recognize what’s happening can help you to respond rather than react… Strong emotions also cause thoughts, and it can become a vicious cycle.

This is about your vision for your life, setting goals, and taking action.

Now you know who you are and what you want at your soul level.

It’s time to set clear intentions and revisit them regularly, adjusting when needed.

As you grow and change, your goals may change too. It’s normal.

The in-between, very important stuff that comes up that doesn’t have a neat little category.

All of it affects your Chakras (energy centers that hold your Prana – life force)…

Confidence, boundaries, truth, connectedness, communication… The remaining pieces of Yoga Philosophy not mentioned here, and all the things that are needed to take that aligned action as a Tranquil Warrior.

It’s not a defined space, as we aren’t clearly defined as humans. It’s an evolving and changing piece of this process of personal growth. It’s messy, imperfect, and so, so beautiful!
